What is this?

Welcome to the Column 2.0, the Old Pine Street Presbyterian Church weblog. For a church that is two-hundred and forty years old, this is very new technology, so please bear with us. We are learning.

Here is a run-down of the basic functions of the page. On the bottom of each post, you will see “Comments”. If you click there, previously posted comments will appear, followed by a place for you to put in your own comments. During the first week of our blogging, while the Pearlington Mission Trip is sending reports back home, the comments can be used to return good thoughts, prayers, and encouragement to our sisters and brothers helping with the rebuilding effort.

On the righthand column, you see the options available to you. Archives, “Meta” (which is a variety of functions), and Categories are among the most important Widgets here. “Meta” is the most important. With “Meta” you can register yourself with the site, and help us keep track of who is visiting and where they are. This also will help us link together blogs that individual members may have.

Click on Register, if you haven’t already. Then, sign up by entering only the information you would want people to have. Next time you visit, click Log In, and your visit will be recorded.

If you have any questions, please comment on this page and I will address them. Thanks for visiting.
