Each year on the Saturday before Mother's Day, Old Pine holds its Flea Market and Neighborhood Craft Festival. For more than 35 years, this has been a day of hard work and fun to raise money for our mission projects. Beneficiaries have included the Saturday for Seniors Program, Heifer International and the Gulf Coast Mission Project.
The focal point of the Flea Market is the rummage sale with treasures donated by church members and neighbors. But much more than a rummage sale, the Flea Market includes live music, children's activities, a bake sale, burgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill, and vendors lining the sidewalk along Pine, Lombard and Fourth Streets. It's a festive day, and many volunteers are needed.
Our next Flea Market will be Saturday, May 12, 2012.
Vendor applications for artists selling orginal crafts, vendors selling collectibles, and organizations promoting neighborhood goods & services will be accepted March and April 2012.
