Each Saturday a group of 50 older adults gathers at the Old Pine Community Center. Since 1978, this program has provided spiritual and social fellowship, a home-cooked noon meal and a bag lunch for seniors.

The Old Pine Community Center is the main mission arm of Old Pine Street Church for the delivery of services to the Philadelphia community.   The Center also houses church Sunday School, congregational luncheons, and committee meetings. The Center is available for rental for parties, wedding receptions and sporting events.

Old Pine sponsors Boy Scout Troop & Cub Pack #176. Scouting helps the boys develop character, citizenship, and personal fitness.

Each year on the Saturday before Mother's Day, Old Pine holds its Flea Market and Neighborhood Festival. For more than 35 years, this has been a day of hard work and fun to raise money for our mission projects.

Starting in 2006, Old Pine has sponsored an annual weeklong mission trip to help those in need rebuild after natural disasters.  If you are interested in joining our annual trip, please contact the Mission committee at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. For more than 30 years Old Pine has provided meeting space for 12-step meetings. All meetings are held in the Duffield Room on the first floor of the church. Additional meetings are also held at the Old Pine Community Center.
